Vox listens for its wake word “Computer” using an on-device ONNX model. No button to press, no phone to pick up. Just speak.
“Computer, what temperature do I bake sourdough at?”
Preheat to 450°F (230°C). Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes until the crust is deep golden brown.
The answer comes through Vox's text-to-speech powered by ElevenLabs Flash v2.5 — so you hear the response without looking at a screen.
Multi-task while you cook
“Computer, read me my latest emails.”
“Computer, reply to Mom and say dinner will be ready at 7.”
“Computer, add olive oil and rosemary to my grocery list.”
Vox supports barge-in — you can interrupt a response mid-sentence with a new command. No waiting for it to finish speaking.
Why voice-first matters here
Smart speakers can answer questions, but they can't send emails, manage files, or create documents. Phone assistants require you to unlock, tap, and navigate. Vox does everything a desktop AI can do — file management, email, document creation, web research — activated entirely by voice.
